CoderSchool began as an in-person coding bootcamp and tech education company operating out of a coworking space in Dreamplex.
Our first class had 18 students and one tutor, Charles, who taught them iOS programming in Swift. If you ask Charles about it, he’ll tell you that he slurped up a whole bowl of Bún Bò before his first class “To drown the butterflies in my stomach.”
In a matter of months, word spread of this school that taught learners more than just programming theory.
Within a year, we had moved to new offices in District 3 and started teaching our 3-month full-time, intensive Web Development Courses.
By now, we had 1000 + graduates working at some of the top tech companies in Vietnam.
All that success attracted more than our fair share of VCs who knew a good idea when they saw it. In 2018, we raised $2.6 million in a seed funding round led by Singapore-based Monk’s Hill Ventures.
We are an online-only tech education platform. But we still keep our students at the center of the learning experience. We have adapted existing tools and developed a few of our own to enable our students to interact with instructors and classmates before, during, and after class.
Over 80% of our full-time graduates find a job within six months of graduation, and we have 2500+ people learning with us at any given time.
We will soon launch a slew of new courses that will empower tens of thousands of learners in Vietnam with the knowledge to build whatever they want using technology.
Once we have become really good at doing that in Vietnam, we plan to take our formula of personalized tech education to learners worldwide.
We will help our learners realize their full potential by transforming them into sought-after IT professionals.
We will achieve this by providing courses, teaching methods, and friendly, hands-on support designed to transform our learners into highly skilled, in-demand IT professionals.
We will empower our learners with the skills and knowledge that will give them the confidence to take on any problem they will face in their careers.
We exist because of our learners. Their success is our success. And we will consistently do what is best for them and their future.
Truth is the foundation of trust. We are always honest and transparent - even when it’s uncomfortable. We voice our true thoughts, tackle issues head-on and only deal with facts.
We exist to motivate and inspire our learners to build the impossible and achieve their full potential. We will always believe in them and their ability to do great things.
We can dream big with the best of them, but we will always have a practical plan to turn those dreams into reality.
Every challenge, every success, and every failure prompts us to ask "What did we learn”? And we are eager to share this knowledge with the rest of the world.
We are optimists. We are the main-character in our story and we know the hero always wins in the end.
